Notes : The Australian five-dollar banknote was introduced in Australia in May 1967 not replacing any Australian banknote a new colour (mauve) was introduced, after the public had become familiar with decimal currency  with the $5 note equating to £2/10  when the currency was changed from the Australian pound to the Australian dollar.
